ALL MY FRIENDS ARE DEMONS

This series of illustrations features demonized versions of women and queer folk, a satirical take on the exaggerated ways in which feminists are often villanized. I juxtapose this villanous depiction with vibrant colours and everyday narrative scenes, simply hanging out at home or at the bar.

This angle attempts to draw attention to the hypocrisy in this demonization, at times even taking on a more satirical ‘man-hating’ lens, leaning into the absurd allegations that what feminists want is ‘more rights than men’.

Representation is another key element to these pieces, my work strives to make all intersections of women and queer folk feel seen and represented, particularly in the visual arts where certain intersections such as disability and differing body types are often underrepresented.

These pieces are available for sale on my etsy here.
